Open-air wedding in the city’s newest, most dazzling park

Copenhagen’s newest park, beautifully located by Copenhagen’s Inner Harbour next to the Royal Opera, opened in October 2023. The park is designed by COBE Architects and consists of six small gardens with trees, plants and flowers form all over the word – carefully selected so that the park’s colours vary throughout the year. In the middle of the park is a café.

At the Opera Park, you can say ‘I do’ in beautiful green surroundings with a view to the Royal Opera and to Copenhagen City Centre on the other side of the water.

Please note that it is only possible to bring up to 30 guests, including children, photographer etc.

In case of rain
If the forecast predicts only a few drops or brief showers, the ceremony will take place with the lovely sound of raindrops on umbrellas as a backdrop.

In case the weather does not look suitable for an open-air wedding at all, your ceremony will be moved to one of the beautiful rooms at Copenhagen City Hall.

How to book a wedding appointment

To book an appointment, you must first apply for a certificate of marital status. When your application has been approved, you will receive a link to the booking system. Here, you can choose between the available times at the open-air weddings yourself.

Shortly after you have booked your appointment, you will receive a booking confirmation with further details about the day.
