Open-air wedding on an architectural masterpiece

With its red railing and high masts, one of Copenhagen’s most beautiful bridges looks like a ship at quay in the harbour opposite The Black Diamond. Here, you can be married with a view over the water and a fresh sea breeze in your hair.

After the ceremony, you can celebrate your day how you want to – maybe with a glass of bubby by the water or with a sailing trip in the harbour?

The Circle Bridge is designed by the internationally acclaimed architect Olafur Eliasson and opened in 2015.

In case of rain

If the forecast predicts only a few drops or brief showers, the ceremony will take place with the lovely sound of raindrops on umbrellas as a backdrop.

In case the weather does not look suitable for an open-air wedding at all, your ceremony will be moved to one of the beautiful rooms at Copenhagen City Hall.

How to book a wedding appointment

To book an appointment, you must first apply for a certificate of marital status. When your application has been approved, you will receive a link to the booking system. Here, you can choose between the available times at the open-air weddings yourself.

Shortly after you have booked your appointment, you will receive a booking confirmation with further details about the day.
