Open-air wedding in untraditional surroundings

A wedding ceremony in an abandoned service station might not sound very alluring at first. But since it opened in 2022, Autopoul – named after the garage’s former mechanic – has been one of Copenhagen’s hippest places to meet with friend for a cup of coffee or a glass of natural wine in the sunset.

Here, you can be married in untraditional surroundings with a great atmosphere and with the characteristic white plastic chairs as a backdrop.

The chairs are meant to call to mind the countless cafés in Southern Europe where these chairs are often found. And the place’s unique location guarantees that guests can enjoy the sun all day. And so, with just a bit of imagination, you can be led to believe that you are under distant, more exotic southern skies.

Autopoul is located in Copenhagen’s Northwestern neighbourhood, and is more than a café and bar, but also a place for events and concerts.

How to book a wedding appointment

To book an appointment, you must first apply for a certificate of marital status. When your application has been approved, you will receive a link to the booking system. Here, you can choose between the available times at the open-air weddings yourself.

Shortly after you have booked your appointment, you will receive a booking confirmation with further details about the day.
