The Royal Opera

If you are looking for a memorable wedding ceremony, this is a unique opportunity to say ”I do” in one of Copenhagen’s iconic buildings.

The ceremony will take place in the foyer. From here, you have a view over the city’s skyline on the other side of the harbour and above you, the three magnificent light sculptures created by Olafur Eliasson are sparkling.

The Opera House in Copenhagen was inaugurated in 2005 and is located on the historical axis running from the Marble Church through Amalienborg Palace, to the Amalie Garden on the other side of the harbour.

Enghaveparken

Enghaveparken (Enghave Park) is Vesterbro’s only park – a small oasis with green trees and a fountain in one of the busiest neighborhoods in Copenhagen.

Here, you can be married in a lovely and memorable ceremony on the lawn in the park’s south western corner.

The park, designed in neoclassical style, first opened in 2029. After a larger restoration and renovation, it re-opened in 2019.

One of Denmark’s most important, modernist architects, Arne Jakobsen, designed the park’s pavilions, entrance and musical stage as his very first project as a new graduate.

The Rose Garden in Valbyparken

Roses are a symbol of love and passion – and so what could be more romantic than saying ‘I do’ to the love of your life surrounded by beautiful, sweet-smelling roses?

The Rose Garden in Valbyparken (Valby Park) is one of Europe’s largest rose gardens. In the impressive, circular garden, covering more than 1.5 hectares (more than two football fields), you can enjoy the view of over 12,000 roses from 176 different species.

Admiral Gjeddes Gaard

Do you dream of a wedding ceremony in historic and pleasant surroundings in Copenhagen?

Admiral Gjeddes Gaard is one of Copenhagen’s beautiful old buildings, oozing charm and history from its yellow timber frame walls and barred windows.

The Workers Museum

The Banquet Hall in the heart of the Workers’ Assembly Building, dating from 1879, has formed the setting for innumerable meetings, political discussions, congresses and parties – should it also be the setting of your wedding ceremony?

The Hall features an abundance of decorations and beautiful details, testifying the pride of the countless trades and craftsmen who have used the building through the years.

In 2021, the Hall underwent major refurbishments, so that it appears even more impressive than before.

Karens Minde Culture House

Karens Minde Culture House is located in beautiful, green surroundings and hosts a variety of cultural events throughout the year – should it also host your special day?

The ceremony will take place outside by the building, facing the green area.

Karens Minde Culture House is situated on the Karens Minde axis, which also includes Sydhavnen’s Library as well as a children’s culture house and children’s animal park. The area has recently undergone a cloudburst mitigation and the result is a beautiful and green area with footpaths, bridges and an enclosure for horses.
