Are you dreaming of an open-air wedding ceremony in Copenhagen City Centre? In the Amalie Garden (Amaliehaven), you get the best of both the city and nature on your big day: There’s a splendid view of both the royal palace Amalienborg’s beautiful facade and the harbour, which is buzzing with life in the summer, while you are surrounded by green trees and flowerbeds - and you never have to fear getting mud on your shoes.
The Amalie Garden is one of Denmark’s youngest parks, designed by the Belgian landscape architect Jean Delogne and inaugurated in 1983. The park was a gift from shipowner A.P. Møller and Wife Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller’s Foundation.
How to book a wedding appointment
To book an appointment, you must first apply for a certificate of marital status. When your application has been approved, you will receive a link to the booking system. Here, you can choose between the available times at the open-air weddings yourself.
Shortly after you have booked your appointment, you will receive a booking confirmation with further details about the day.
