Open-air wedding ceremony in The Royal Libary Garden

A wedding in the secret garden

Like a little secret oasis in Copenhagen, The Royal Library Garden is hidden among the historic buildings on Slotsholmen island in the city centre. Here, you can say ’I do’ at a small and intimate wedding ceremony in the shade of old trees, between flowerbeds and with the sounds from the little fountain in the background.

The garden was established in 1920, and here you can also find a statue of the famous Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard, staring sorrowfully into the distance. Some say that is was right on this location that his lost love, Regine Olsen, lived in the Danish Golden Ages.
