At Thorvaldsen’s Museum, you step into a world of ancient gods and heroes, where every room is a new fascinating exploration of colours, architecture and impressive ceiling painting. This is the perfect place to say “I do” at an intimate ceremony on 10 October 2020.
The ceremonies will take place on the museum’s first floor.
The museum opened in 1848 as the first public museum in Denmark. Here, you can explore the works of the Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen as well as his comprehensive collection of paintings from his time and artefacts from the Greek, Roman and Egyptian antiquity.

An open-air wedding ceremony costs 950 DKK.

When your marriage application has been approved, you will receive a link to our booking system. Here, you can choose the open-air wedding and the time of the day that suits you.
