Every year, Christmas in Tivoli offers sparkling lights in snow-covered trees, warm mulled wine and winter ”hygge”. This year - for the first time - The Municipality of Copenhagen gives and your significant other the possibility to be married in the spirit of Christmas in the old garden located in the heat of Copenhagen.

The magical Christmas wedding ceremony will take place after nightfall in the Princess Pavilion, with a view over Tivoli Lake and the beautiful lights in the garden.

Do you and your significant other want to say ”I do” on top of Copenhagen’s newest landmark, with the Copenhagen skyline in the background?

On top of CopenHill, you can have an unforgettable winter wedding ceremony on the observation deck with a view of – perhaps snow-clad - Øresund and Amager Beach Park. If you feel like starting your new life as married couple with a ride down the ski slope, you are welcome to do so!

Previous locations:

The Cherry Tree Blossoms by Langelinie Park - 4th of May

Under the blossoming cherry trees, and with the petals swirling around you, your wedding in Langelinie Park will be a truly romantic experience. For the first time the City of Copenhagen offers the option of a spring wedding under the open sky, and where else but in the beautiful Langelinie Park?

The cherry trees were donated to the City of Copenhagen by Mr Seiichi Takaki, Honorary Consul in Denmark, in 2005 in connection with the 200-years birthday of H.C. Andersen. They were planted in Langelinie Park in the Cherry Grove. Every year the blossoming is celebrated at the Copenhagen Sakura Festival.

Tower Wedding at Copenhagen City Hall - 15th of June

Again, this year it is possible to get married in the tower of Copenhagen City Hall. At a romantic tower-wedding you can say yes to each other and enjoy the beautiful view of the rooftops of Copenhagen. The iconic tower, created by the architect Martin Nyrop, is inspired by the city hall towers of Tuscany and will set the frame for a unique wedding experience high up in the tower, under the clock, with a view of the Copenhagen skyline.

The tower wedding is not suitable for disabled persons, since there is no elevator installed.

Balcony Wedding at the Theatre Museum at the Court Theatre - 22nd of June

The historically impressive Theatre Museum at the Court Theatre will create a unique and unforgettable experience with a wedding ceremony on the beautiful balcony offering a view of the training arena of the royal horses at Christiansborg Palace. At the theatre, the famous Ludvig Holberg has shaped Danish theater-tradition since 1767 and the popular and beloved H.C. Andersen tried out his skills as a ballet dancer before his breakthrough as a storyteller.

In the fascinating Theatre Museum at the Court Theatre you will find historical costumes and a colourful theatre life exhibited on the oldest theatre stage in Denmark.

After the wedding ceremony you can move around freely in the atmospheric café and enjoy a celebratory glass with your guests.

Fairy Tale Wedding in Tivoli - 6th of July

Romance and colourful lights. Wine, laughter and joy rides. The old garden offers it all, if you wish to celebrate a memorable wedding – in the heart of Copenhagen!

The wedding ceremony will take place by the small pavilion at the Tivoli Lake. From here you can decide yourselves what the day should bring; an unforgettable concert in the Tivoli Concert Hall? A quiet, romantic dinner or a ride on one of the many joy rides?

Wedding at Ofelia Plads (Ofelia Square) - 13th of July

With a view of Amaliehaven (the Amalie Garden) on one side, and the Opera on the other, Ofelia Plads offers the perfect location for a festive wedding where you are part of the vibrant city-life. Ofelia Plads is a hub for crosscultural meetings between the urban street environment, popular sport events and theatre. In this cross field, with the open harbour at your feet, in the heart of Copenhagen, you have the possibility of giving each other your YES!

Wedding by The Sea - Amager Beach Park - 27th of July

If you are dreaming of a classic beach wedding, Amager Beach Park is the place for you! Here you can celebrate your wedding with white sand under your feet, right by Øresund.

Amager Beach Park is the largest beach in Copenhagen. It consists of a two kilometres long artificial island which creates a lagoon, approximately 400 metres wide.

The wedding ceremonies will be held on the beach right by Strandstation 2, at the end of Kilometerbroen.

On Top of CopenHill - 10th of August

On top of the newest landmark of Copenhagen, you and your beloved can give each other the big YES! With the Copenhagen skyline as a backdrop, you now have the opportunity of a wedding of a very special calibre, on CopenHill.

The wedding ceremony will take place on the viewing platform overlooking Øresund and Amager Beach.

CopenHill opens for the public in October for urban mountain sport in Copenhagen.  It will then offer a range of outdoor activities where the whole family can ski, hike, mountain climb or simply enjoy the views.

The Garden of the Odd Fellow Palace - 17th of August

If you are looing for an intimate wedding in one of the mundane and hidden gems of Copenhagen, the romantic garden of the Odd Fellow Palace will offer a party full of love.

Throughout time the Palace has been hosting a lively salon- and society-life where prominent figures and cultural personalities have spent leisurely time.

The old garden was re-established in 1992. The garden showcases a beautiful combination of contemporary and classical architecture. The Odd Fellow Palace welcomes you to beautiful interior decorations and a true bombardment of the senses.

Urban Wedding in the Architectural Melting Pot of Copenhagen - BLOX - 31st of August

The Copenhagen Cultural District now offers you the possibility to get married in the urban surroundings by the new Culture Center BLOX, an ultramodern architectural gem situated amidst renaissance and classical architecture.
