Late summer wedding by The Royal Opera House
If you are looking for a memorable wedding ceremony, this is a unique opportunity to say ”I do” by one of Copenhagen’s iconic buildings.
The Opera House in Copenhagen was inaugurated in 2005 and is located on the historical axis running from the Marble Church through Amalienborg Palace, to the Amalie Garden on the other side of the harbour.
Here, where the old and new Copenhagen meet, you can be married outside the Opera House by the water, under the great roof of the building and with the view of the Copenhagen skyline on the other side of the harbour.
It will be possible to wait inside the building in the café before the ceremony. After the ceremony, it is entirely up to you what the day should bring – maybe an opera in the evening or a dinner at one of Christianshavn’s many restaurants?
Saturday, 25 September 2021 between 12:00 and 16:00.
An open-air wedding ceremony by The Royal Opera House costs 1,450 DKK.
We have introduced special guidelines for wedding ceremonies due to the coronavirus, including a limit on how many guests each couple can bring. Read more about the special Corona guidelines here.
We seek to make the open-air wedding event less formal, in accordance with the surroundings in the public space. Please be prepared for a bit of well-intentioned attention from other couples and guests in the area. Naturally, we will do our very best to make the event a personal and wonderful experience for you.
