Corona / Covid-19

English version below

  • Ankom venligst kun fem minutter før jeres vielse

  • Håndsprit vil stå frit tilgængeligt for alle.

Vi glæder os til at ser jer.

We are delighted that we can once again perform marriage ceremonies at Copenhagen City Hall, though with new safety measures. With the reopening, we have made it a priority to marry all couples with an appointment. As a result, other couples can be present in the Great Hall or in the area around an open-air wedding at the same time, both before and after a ceremony. Due to the law limiting public gatherings, we kindly ask you to follow the guidelines below:

  • You are welcome to bring a maximum of 45 guests, including children, photographer etc.
  • Please only arrive five minutes before your appointment.

As we have introduced extra safety measures, delays may occur. We thank you for your understanding.

Have you been asked to show your original documents for verification?

If one or both of you do not have a CPR number in Denmark or any of the Nordic countries, the person(s) in question must show original documents for verification at Copenhagen City Hall one working day before your ceremony, at the latest.

The Wedding Office is open for verification of original documents Monday-Friday from 9:00-14:00.

Special initiatives and guidelines to limit the spread of COVID-19 at Copenhagen City Hall and at open-air weddings

We want you to have the best experience possible, and it is very important to the Wedding Office that both you, your guests and others present feel safe.

The Wedding Office has introduced the following initiatives

  • The registrar and the official witnesses will keep min. one metre distance to you during the ceremony.
  • The registrar will not shake your hand.
  • You can sign your marriage papers with new pens, which you can keep afterwards.
  • Hand sanitiser will be available for everyone.
  • We make sure that the couple before you has let the area before it is your turn.

What you can do

We hope that both you and your guests will help us by following the advice and the Danish Health Authorities’ general recommendations below:

  • Keep a distance to other couples.
  • Cough and sneeze in your sleeve, not your hands.
  • Use the hand sanitiser accessible on the location.

Are you currently not in Denmark?
